Jenna Pederson

Hoping for a better day is pointless

I will never tell my friends

To hope for a better day.

No one understands life

In this world

There are the wealthy

That's who I aspire to be.

There are those who help the poor.

I'd hate myself if I ever became one of them

In this world there are terrible people

That, however, is incorrect

People who believe in hope are stupid

We live in a world that claims

Dreaming of a new world

Like hoping for change

Will never work

Doing nothing

Is what's right

Is nothing

Is what we want.

We'd understand hope

If we saw the hidden messages

In life
